Chocomania hits The Body Shop

Men dipped in chocolate? Max MacDonald was there

02.06.2012

What do shower gels, a live DJ, body scrubs and two hot men have in common? They were all at the launch of The Body Shop’s new chocolate line. The venerable do-good company rolled out its Chocomania bath and body collection at the Eaton Centre at a Valentine’s Day bash. Gay men got their chocolate fix by ogling the two hot guys, covered in chocolate-hued body paint, who were handing out samples.

Chocomania is designed to give your body’s largest organ, your skin, a full chocolate experience. There are six products: a body scrub, which comes in two sizes -- 200 ml for $18 and 50 ml for $6; a 200 ml shower cream for $8; a 250 ml body lotion for $12; mini-soap sets for $6; a 200 ml body butter for $18; and a lip butter for $6.

The only problem with this line is remembering that it is not edible, as each product looks and smells like a dessert. In keeping with The Body Shop’s history, the entire line is made of fair trade ingredients -- including the cocoa. The line hits all stores starting Monday, Feb 6: just in time for Valentine’s Day.
