150 years of gay Afro-American love captured forever

This has been floating around the web for a few weeks, but in honour of the beginning of Black History Month, please enjoy Hidden in the Open: A Photographic Essay of Afro-American Male Couples. Historian Trent Kelly has put together almost 150 years worth of beautiful, vintage photos featuring Afro-American male couples. A gorgeous hidden century-and-a-half of love, and all those bow ties are just fab-ulous!
